maxresdefaultBill Kirchen & Austin de Lone

Austin de Lone’s “Eggs over Easy” were an American country rock band, of the early 1970s, who visited London to record an album, and then became a resident band in a London public house, launching what subsequently became known as pub rock.
For decades, Austin de Lonehas graced the music community and indeed the world stage with his soulful piano playing and a confident, easygoing stage presence. He has worked with Elvis Costello, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Nick Lowe, Bonnie Raitt, Boz Scaggs and many more. As the beloved host of Sweetwater’s infamous Open Mic Night, Austin shares his talent, spirit, and love of music with the community weekly.

Bill Kirchen is one of the fortunate few who can step onto any stage, (Grammy nominated guitarist, singer and songwriter) & plays those trademark licks that drove his seminal Commander Cody classic Hot Rod Lincoln into the Top Ten, and elicit instant recognition for a career that has spanned over 40 years and includes guitar work with Nick Lowe, Emmylou Harris, Doug Sahm, Elvis Costello and many more. Named A Titan of the Telecaster by Guitar Player Magazine, he celebrates an American musical tradition where rock ‘n’ roll and country music draws upon its origins in blues and bluegrass, Western swing from Texas and California honky-tonk.

Apr 28, 2016 10:00 PM Alejandro Escovedo

12049304_908144525908039_2335015848975869677_nAlejandro Escovedo is one with his muse and his music. Over a lifetime spent traversing the bridge between words and melody, he has ranged over an emotional depth that embraces all forms of genre and presentation, a resolute voice that weathers the emotional terrain of our lives, its celebrations and despairs, landmines and blindsides and upheavals and beckoning distractions, in search for ultimate release and the healing truth of honesty. Sometimes it takes the form of barely contained rage, the rock of punk amid kneeled feedback; sometimes it caresses and soothes, a whispery harmony riding the air of a nightclub room, removed from amplification, within the audience.

Jon Cleary & The Absolute Monster Gentlemen

Jon Cleary & The Absolute Monster GentlemenNew Orleans R&B, Piano & Vocals….
A respected session and sideman, British blues pianist and composer Jon Cleary has worked with rock, blues, and soul artists like Bonnie Raitt, Maria Muldaur, Taj Mahal, and Eric Clapton. Raised on blues, jazz, and soul records, his love of New Orleans blues and jazz in particular took him across the ocean after he graduated from art school.
Upon arriving in New Orleans, Cleary started hanging out at one of the city’s most storied venues . He soaked up the bar’s atmosphere, realizing that blues piano was his calling; the house he lived in had a piano, on which he spent hours practicing. He became a side performer, playing with bluesmen like Smokey Johnson, James Singleton, and George Porter. One of these gigs included Walter “Wolfman” Washington in the audience; taken with Cleary’s playing, Washington offered Cleary a spot in his own band. Cleary played with Washington for two years, continuing his introduction to more sophisticated forms of R&B and blues, as well as incorporating Latin influences into his style.
